Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about WhatSched.
What is WhatSched?
WhatSched is a web-based tool that lets you schedule WhatsApp messages to be sent at a specific date and time. Simply connect your WhatsApp account, compose your message, pick a time, and we handle the rest.
Do I need to create an account?
No. WhatSched works without any sign-up or login. Your session is tied to your browser via a cookie, so you can start scheduling messages immediately.
How do I connect my WhatsApp?
Open the WhatSched dashboard and click "Connect WhatsApp". A QR code will appear — scan it with your WhatsApp mobile app (Settings → Linked Devices → Link a Device). Once scanned, your WhatsApp will be connected and ready to send scheduled messages.
Is my data secure?
Yes. Your data is stored in an encrypted database and all communication between services uses secure connections. We do not share your data with third parties. Your WhatsApp session credentials are stored securely and used only to send your scheduled messages.
What happens if my phone is offline?
WhatsApp Web sessions can remain active for a period even when your phone is offline. However, if your phone stays offline for an extended time, the connection may drop and scheduled messages won't be sent until you reconnect.
Can I cancel a scheduled message?
Yes. As long as the message hasn't been sent yet, you can cancel it from the dashboard. Navigate to your scheduled messages and click the cancel option next to the message you want to remove.
Is WhatSched free?
Yes, WhatSched is currently free to use. There are no hidden fees or premium tiers at this time.
What types of messages can I schedule?
You can schedule text messages to any WhatsApp contact or phone number. Support for media messages (images, documents, etc.) may be added in the future.
How accurate is the message timing?
Messages are processed every minute, so your message will typically be sent within one minute of the scheduled time. Slight delays may occur depending on server load and your WhatsApp connection status.
How do I disconnect my WhatsApp?
Go to the WhatSched dashboard and click the "Disconnect" button in the WhatsApp connection panel. This will end the linked session. You can also remove WhatSched from your WhatsApp mobile app under Settings → Linked Devices.
